PSA: Call of Duty Elite Clan Operations deployed on Xbox 360 and PS3

Console gamers have been missing out on some Call of Duty Elite functionality — specifically, Clan Operations. Activision promised Clan Ops would be available soon and delivered today, flipping the switch that lets clans take part in competitions for extra experience and prizes. While all Elite members can take part in Clan Ops, only premium members will be scored and ranked on their performance

Persona 4 fighter officially coming stateside this summer

The mystery of that spooky teaser email has been definitively solved. Atlus announced plans to localize Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena for PS3 and Xbox 360, under the title Persona 4 Arena , which we won’t have to look up every time we write about it

Witcher franchise sold 1.5 million copies in 2011

CD Projekt RED announced this morning that The Witcher franchise sold over 1.5 million units in 2011. Yesterday we got a peek at the achievements for the next Assassin’s Creed: Revelations DLC, and today we get its name, courtesy of a GameStop email sent to customers: Lost Archive. Maybe tomorrow we’ll all get personalized Arabian Daggers in the mail.

SSX demo descends on Xbox 360 and PS3 next week

If you’re anxious to carve powder in EA’s SSX reboot, you’ll get a chance next week. Creative director Todd Batty revealed the news in the latest episode of the SSX Ubercast , a bi-weekly podcast centering on, well, you know . The demo will launch on Xbox 360 on February 21; the PS3 demo will be available a day later.

Far Cry 3 gameplay video lasts five minutes (Bonus: It’s in German!)

German site VideoGamesZone.de has five minutes of gameplay footage featuring Ubisoft’s upcoming Far Cry 3 . The chatter and sound effects are in English (yes, the sound effects, too!), but we had to do some translation work on our two German voiceover hosts for some extra details. One of them went to Montreal to play the game (on an 80 inch screen).

Fallout 3 and Oblivion unite in double pack on April 3

Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion invite you to participate in their joyous union on April 3 in North America. Bethesda’s double pack will feature the standard edition of both games, at $29.99 for Xbox 360 or $19.99 for PC. Bethesda isn’t allowed to release the double pack on PS3, Pete Hines told Joystiq.

Users report reset glitch in Gotham City Impostors

It seems Gotham City Impostors might not have gone through quite the same ruthless training and disciplined regimen that Bruce Wayne did before he became Batman. An admin on the game’s official forums recently posted about a potential glitch in the game that resets earned stats and unlocked content, and that thread has earned itself a whopping 63 pages of irate customers on both Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Just losing your stats in the game is a waste of time, but some of those customers bought and paid money for XP boosts and other items to help them level up, which means they’re losing that money as well
