FFXIII’s Lightning being added to XIII-2 in DLC, trailer highlights game variety

Silent Hill: Downpour brings the old back to the new

As we saw back at E3, Silent Hill: Downpour evokes the feel of old Silent Hill games, by sending its protagonist Murphy into the familiar town, where he finds monsters, creepiness, and all sorts of dangerous puzzles. But producer Tomm Hulett says this version of the game isn’t just about revisiting the setting of the old titles — he’s trying to collect some new fans as well. “Bringing Silent Hill into sort of a modern game, for old fans, mainstream, for new fans, whatever, it’s interesting,” he told us at a recent preview event.

Sorcery bewitching PlayStation 3 owners in spring 2012

Sorcery , a PlayStation Move game announced way back at E3 2010 and kept in relative silence since then, is set to launch this coming spring. SCEA hasn’t offered a finer launch date beyond that. For those of you who might have forgotten about the title, Sorcery is a third-person, Move-centric title for the PS3 developed by California-based dev The Workshop.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock winding up on PS3, Vita and PC

Though it exists in every video game with save files or checkpoints, time travel isn’t regularly acknowledged — but when your story revolves around a temporally insulated phone booth piloted by an immortal doctor, it would just be weird not to. Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock , a new downloadable game derived from the popular BBC show, is bringing narratively justified time travel to us early next year, “initially” on PC, PlayStation 3 and Vita.
